SREE BUDDHA

Leaving his kingdom and loved ones behind, Siddhartha became a wandering monk. He cut off his hair to show that he had renounced the worldly lifestyle and called himself Gautama. He wore ragged robes and wandered from place to place. In his search for truth, he studied with the wisest teachers of his day. None of them knew how to end suffering, so he continued the search on his own. For six years he practiced severe asceticism thinking this would lead him to enlightenment. He sat in meditation and ate only roots, leaves and fruit. At times he ate nothing. He could endure more hardships than anyone else, but this did not take him anywhere. He thought, "Neither my life of luxury in the palace nor my life as an ascetic in the forest is the way to freedom. Overdoing things can not lead to happiness. " He began to eat nourishing food again and regained his strength. On a full-moon day in May, he sat under the Bodhi tree at Gaya, India in deep meditation and said. "I will not leave this spot until I find an end to suffering." During the night, he was visited by Mara, the evil one, who tried to tempt him away from his virtuous path. First he sent his beautiful daughters to lure Gautama into pleasure. Next he sent bolts of lightning, wind and heavy rain. Last he sent his demonic armies with weapons and flaming rocks. One by one, Gautama met the armies and defeated them with his virtue. As the struggle ended, he realized the cause of suffering and how to remove it. He had gained the most supreme wisdom and understood things as they truly are. He became the Buddha, 'The Awakened One'. From then on, he was called Shakyamuni Buddha.

LORD BUDDHA

Lord Buddha is an Ascended Master. As a great pure love being Lord Buddha is not exclusive to the Buddhist religion. Lord Buddha is part of, and yet far exceeds, our perception of him as the Buddha. The title Buddha means ‘enlightened one’; it is from a Sanskrit word meaning ‘awake’, or ‘perceived’ or ‘known’. This title denotes an office in the spiritual hierarchy which is attained by passing certain initiations of the Sacred Fire; these raise the kundalini, which is the spiritual fire within us. Lord Buddha’s aura of compassion, wisdom and love embraces the whole world. His energy filters thought to us from the Second Ray, which is the Cosmic Ray of Wisdom. Buddha holds the office of ‘God of the Earth’, and is the divine being referred to in the Book of Revelation, in Chapter 11, v 4.

In our Universe, Lord Buddha holds the energy, the Light, for those who have lost direct contact with their own ‘I AM-NESS’, their Higher Self, which is part of the Christ Consciousness. The reason that they have lost direct contact with this divine spark within themselves is that they have created so much negative karma, or ‘sin’, in their lives here on earth that they are now unable to magnetise sufficient light from the Godhead to sustain their soul’s incarnation on Earth. In other words, they are now unable to exist physically here on earth. Their higher self, their ‘I AM’ presence is so weak that it is unable to sustain physical life, or incarnation; it cannot attract the spark of life anymore. If Lord Buddha did not hold the light in the spiritual realm for these souls, they would be lost forever. He holds the Divine Light for them so that they still have the potential to learn, to awake, and to harmonise their negative karma. This is the tremendous love and compassion and mercy that he shows for humanity. Little statues of ‘buddha’ with a little fat tummy are not representations of Lord Buddha; these are of a Chinese deity, and are mostly ‘good luck’ gods in the Chinese tradition. Lord Buddha was ascetic, not fat but slim, and these do not represent him. The buddhas of Thailand are more nearly like him.

The human aura is an electro-magnetic field radiating out from the physical body. It has seven layers containing both the astral body and the etheric body. To explain it very simply, the etheric body is the life force (chi) within us, and the astral body gives us consciousness and the ability to move. The colours which can be seen are usually the astral body colours, they can be very light, dynamic and vibrant, or dull, wishy-washy and heavy. These colours are an expression of the individual’s soul and consciousness, and change as we develop. (The soul is in the astral body.) The average human auric field extends from the physical body for approximately 60cm (24 inches). 'Aura' is a general term for the group of energy bodies which enclose our physical body. It can be seen as a cloud of light of varying colours around the physical body, and the condition of the individual and the individual’s soul is reflected in its shape and colours. Learn about your aura, and how to nourish and energize it!

Chakras are energy centres, vortices that draw spiritual energy into ourselves. There are seven main chakras - the harmonious use of each chakra is essential to our well being, and our wholeness. Chakra is a Sanskrit word meaning ‘wheel’ ‘circle’ or ‘lotus.’ Each of the seven main chakras is located near major endocrine organs in the physical body, that is, they are connected to the functioning of the endocrine (hormonal) system in the body. They form etheric organs in the aura, being responsible for processing the spiritual energy into usable energy for the physical body. ( “stepping down” the energy from very high fine vibrations to lower, thus slower, vibrations that can be used by the physical body.) We will look at each chakra in turn. You will discover which ones in you need the most work or cleansing, how they work, and what you need in order to become more in a state of balance. They are fundamental to healing, so you will have a better understanding of the illnesses or states of imbalance that manifest in your life. Imbalances need to be corrected at the deepest, essential level by yourself; (self-healing is the most empowering and the most deeply transformative). It can help to consult others for healing or chakra balancing for example, but if you do not change the underlying pattern that caused the dysfunction in the first place then the chakra will go out of balance again.

All karma is good, because when you’re through it, it brings harmony to your soul. Karma is the law of cause and effect. What you sow, you shall reap. No action is independent of anything else, therefore, any action, (even every thought) will have some repercussion, somewhere, sometime. Karma is about what your soul needs to learn, in order to balance, harmonize and expand itself. The soul is that part of you that wants to experience everything, and never forgets what it has learned. Not all lessons are karmic—they can just be experiences you need in order to learn something new. Karma is a quality of time and therefore karma can only be “worked out” in the 3rd dimension of time and space. The ego is necessary for us to exist here on earth, in the physical body. The ego is a tool that allows us to deal with world; it is not the real you, just an aspect of you. Often we identify fully with the ego, thinking it is the real self, when it is something we hide behind. Recognise and acknowledge it for what it is, and then it has no power over you. We need to become master of the ego - and not have it being master of us.
